Wambo Wind Farm 

Fauna Spotters Pty Ltd have been engaged to provide a range of ecological services to meet the demands for the development of the Wambo Wind Farm. This project will ultimately consist of 42 wind turbines, with the first stage adding 252 megawatts (MW) of clean energy to Queensland’s energy system and avoid the emission of more than 1.1 million Tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year.  Fauna Spotters continue to work with Vestas and Fulton Hogans,  Construction and Environmental teams to plan around ongoing works and provide practical and best practice solutions. 


Wambo Transmission line Upgrade

Fauna Spotters Pty Ltd provides ongoing Ecological Consultation and Fauna Spotter Catchers for the Wambo Wind Farm transmission line upgrade located near Kingaroy Queensland. The connection works will comprise of a double circuit 275 kilovolt (kV) high voltage transmission line, commencing at a new substation to be constructed at the Wambo Wind Farm and tracking east for approximately 47 kilometres (km) before connecting into Powerlink’s existing Halys Substation.  The work primarily consists of vegetation clearing for high voltage transmission lines and the ongoing management of bird nests located in existing high voltage transmission line towers.

Western Downs Civil

Kidston Pumped Hydro

Fauna Spotters Pty Ltd provides Ecologists and Fauna Spotter Catchers directly to Western Downs Civil on an ongoing basis. Projects have included vegetation clearing for the Kidston Hydrogen Plant located 300kms west of Townsville.  As well as vegetation clearing for the BESS Chinchilla project, a $150 million project to add a grid-scale battery to CS Energy's Kogan Creek site near Chinchilla on the Western Downs


Susan River Solar Farm 
Childers Solar Farm 

Fauna Spotter Pty Ltd has provided Biosar with Fauna Spotter Catchers and ecological management for multiple projects. This includes the vegetation clearing prior to the construction of the Susan River Solar Project. This project covers an area of 176 hectares and is expected to generate a substantial 160GWh of clean electricity per annum  (enough to supply 40,000 households).  

As well as the vegetation clearing, and vertebrae pest management required for the development of the Childers Solar farm. This is a20MW solar PV power project that covers 180hectares located adjacent to the Bruce Hwy 20kilometers from Childers, QLD.
